PREPERM product family consist materials with excellent and tailored dielectric properties. Either extremely low loss material for high speed / high frequency applications or material with tailored dielectric properties and permittivity that enables mobile phone and other antennas to be made smaller. Several antennas can be put closer each other without interfering each other.
Miniaturization through controlled dielectric constant
Todays mobile phones can contain more than 10 different antennas. The challenge to fit all these into a small compartment without loosing their effect is immense.
When choosing PREPERM compound instead of normal antenna backing plastic, the antennas can be miniaturized without loosing the antennas’ performance. Due to excellent combination of high dielectric constant and very low tan ä the performance of a similar sized antenna could be remarkably improved compared to a traditional antenna.
PREPERM compounds are tailored to fill customers special requirements. Different grades are available based on various thermoplastics ranging from PS to high temperature PPS.
