Sustainability at Premix: From Commitments to Measurable Targets
Sustainability at Premix - introducing our 2025 ESG Report.
For us, sustainability has never been about quick wins or simple statements. It is a long-term commitment that guides how we grow, how we innovate, and how we serve our customers.
As I reflect on the past year, I am proud to say that our latest Sustainability Report marks a year of concrete progress, proof that responsible growth and business success can go hand in hand.
In 2025, we reached several important milestones. We expanded our global footprint with a new production facility in North Carolina, bringing us closer to our customers while maintaining the same high sustainability standards that define Premix. At the same time, we achieved EcoVadis Gold rating, placing us among the top performers in sustainability.
From Targets to Real Impact
Sustainability only matters if it leads to measurable outcomes. Over the past year, we have taken meaningful steps to reduce our environmental footprint:
- Continued use of 100% renewable energy in Finland production
Eliminating Scope 2 emissions and avoiding millions of kilograms of CO₂ annually - First carbon-neutral product launched
Demonstrating that lower-impact materials are already a reality, not just a future ambition - Increased use of recycled raw materials
Reducing dependence on virgin fossil resources and supporting customers in more sustainable choices
These are not isolated achievements; they are part of a systematic effort to reduce lifecycle emissions, improve material efficiency, and build a more sustainable value chain.
Sustainability as a growth driver
Sustainability is often seen as a cost or constraint. We see sustainability as one of the strongest drivers of innovation and growth in our industry.
By developing lower-emission materials, increasing recycled and bio-based content, and improving transparency in carbon footprint data, we are not only reducing environmental impact, but we are also creating new opportunities for our customers.
Regulatory sustainability requirements are becoming increasingly demanding, and we support our clients in responding to these changes globally. This is especially important in industries like healthcare, energy, electronics,[HK1] and packaging, where performance, safety, and sustainability must go hand in hand.
Our role is clear: to help our customers replace higher-carbon materials with smarter, more sustainable alternatives without compromising performance or regulatory compliance.
Transparency and trust matter more than ever
One of the most valuable insights we received from our customers this year is clear: sustainability progress must be visible, measurable, and product specific. We take this feedback seriously.
That is why we are strengthening how we communicate sustainability, moving beyond company-level commitments to clearer product-level data, improved carbon footprint transparency, and more structured sustainability reporting.
This report is an important step in that direction. It is built on recognized frameworks such as ESRS and the EU’s Voluntary SME reporting standard.
