This year, we have experienced unprecedented changes in polymer availability. The prices of polymers have increased, and we expect them to rise still for some time. We are negotiating with our suppliers all the time, trying to find the best resources available. We have also tested alternative solutions and have found several new materials which can be used.
For example, two of our biggest customers approved the grade PRE-ELEC® PP18900 as an equivalent of PRE-ELEC® PP1393, for which you have already placed purchase orders to us. Some grades with the alternative carbon black are still under testing with your support in tight cooperation with Anssi Aarnio & Pasi Seppälä from our R&D. More products are undergoing the same process now. We will keep you updated.
Despite all the challenges, we are doing a great job together. The sales are generically higher than budgeted, and we are constantly receiving new leads from you! Many of those leads have been buying from our competition before this, and we have been able to provide them better supply and win market share. You have turned the negative and challenging situation into our common advantage!
We are working on a new product strategy to identify the products with which we can create the most added value and make our common business most profitable. We have been doing a systematic market study, finetuning our product portfolio, and planning more focused marketing actions.
In October, we come together and go through the main applications we want to concentrate on in the future. We will prepare the product portfolio for each application with further explanations of the advantages of each product. Remember to save the date in your calendars:

This month, we are releasing a new blog on premixgroup.com. Our experts will share their knowledge on electrically conductive plastics development, measurements, and customer collaboration. We will keep you updated on the blog with these Distributor Newsletters.
We are not planning to have any shutdowns in the electrically conductive plastics production during the summer months. Our distributor representatives - Outi, Cong, Kosti, and the undersigned - will have our holidays, but we will plan them so that you will always have a backup whom to contact. You will be informed of the backup by your distributor representative directly.
