Interview of Resinex Marketing Manager Susanne Gramatzki

We interviewed Susanne Gramatzki, Marketing Manager at Resinex who is responsible for functional plastics, including PRE-ELEC® compounds and concentrates. We wanted to understand how our distributors read our newsletter and newsroom. Is our newsletter a must-read or a nice-to-have?

I definitely read all your newsletters. It's important to understand your strategic priorities and communicate them to relevant salespeople.

How do you share our news in your organization?

We have relevant salespeople for each application, and when there's clear product information, I forward it to them right away via email.

We also have quarterly meetings, where I present my area, sales, new case studies, new products, etc.

Every three years we do a thorough product training for our salespeople. And for every new employee right when they start working for us.

And perhaps the most important tool for sharing is our product database. I add there your product offering, the database can be searched by keywords, I can type in a keyword, like "static dissipative", and I get a selection of your ESD-compatible products, which I can then filter further, e.g., with search term "pp", and I get a list of pp-products which are ESD-compatible.

Did you share the recordings of the distributor day with your salespeople?

I did, actually. As they were quite technical, I shared them with our technicians and selected technical salespeople. And the training Anssi did about measurements a while ago. That was also very useful.

Do you appreciate marketing-related materials?

Yes, e.g., pictures, social media posts, and texts that are ready to be published are really useful in my work.

And I like to share news of your new products and solutions in our customer newsletters as well. Of course, I always check from you what can be shared. We like to choose the selected customers we send this out to. Not mass-mailing everybody but selecting the customers who might be interested in this specific product.

What would you like to hear more about from us?

What's cooking in your R&D? It would be great to get better visibility of products you have in the pipeline. If not on specification level, then at least on idea level. For example, that there's going to be a variation of a known product better suited for certain customers. Or that you're solving a completely new problem with a new product. It would be nice to get some time to prepare and think about how to market and sell for that. I could also let you know if I saw some opportunities for products that might fit in your portfolio.
