We are proud to share that our Business Director, Healthcare, Eira Kärjä, has been recognized by Plastics News as one of the 2026 Women Breaking the Mold honorees. The program celebrates women who are making a meaningful impact on the plastics industry through leadership, innovation, and business excellence.

For more than 27 years, Eira has been an integral part of Premix's journey. Today, she leads our global Healthcare business, working with leading diagnostics and medical technology companies across Europe, North America, and Asia to develop electrically conductive plastic solutions for some of the industry's most demanding applications.

What makes Eira exceptional is her ability to combine deep technical understanding with genuine customer partnership. Throughout her career, she has built trusted relationships around the world, helping customers solve complex challenges while shaping the future of healthcare applications together.

One of Eira's proudest achievements has been helping drive Premix's expansion into the United States. Through close collaboration with customers and strategic business development, she played a key role in identifying the opportunity that ultimately led to the establishment of our manufacturing facility in North Carolina, strengthening the local supply of electrically conductive compounds for North American customers.

In addition to leading our Healthcare business, Eira actively contributes to the advancement of the industry through international standardization work and technical collaboration. She is a member of IEC TC 101/WG 16, contributing to the development of IEC 61340-6-1 for electrostatic control in healthcare facilities, and participates in Finland's SESKO committee. She also regularly contributes to technical publications and industry events focused on conductive polymer materials.

"What I enjoy most is working alongside customers to solve challenges together. Building trust, understanding their needs, and creating long-term partnerships have been the most rewarding parts of my career."

- Eira Kärjä

Eira's recognition is not only a reflection of her outstanding career but also of the collaborative approach she brings to every customer relationship and every challenge she takes on.

Congratulations, Eira, on this well-deserved recognition. We are very proud to have you on our team!
